Dark Web by T.J. Brearton

Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

A murder mystery involving an online game, yup, this should've been right up my alley and I sadly have given up at 74%. I don't like to DNF books but in this case I have spent the last two days avoiding reading because every time I sit down to read this I give up after only a few pages or I fall asleep. I could be reading something else and enjoying it much more. Hell in two days I easily could've read an entire book. I've been at this one for 5 days now and it has been a grind. I'm clearly in the minority as a lot of other people have loved this book but it just isn't for me. The story line has dragged majorly and it did get to the point where I was reading it but not actually paying any attention to what I was reading.

Sometimes books that travel a bit slower are helped along by good characters but unfortunately this wasn't the case for Dark Web. The so called Detective John Swift was a bit of a joke. To me he was doing everything he could to stuff up the investigation and was making so many mistakes. Most of the time it felt like none of the character's were doing their jobs correctly. The only character's that got even the slightest bit of interest from me was Callie and Darring but even that isn't enough for me to want to continue on.

At the end of the day there's not much more that I can say. I don't like to be negative but this book wasn't to my liking. I think the only reason I kept at it for as long as I did was because I wanted to know what happened to Braxton and who was responsible. I'm not going to waste any more of my time with this book though. I'm currently on holiday's and would much prefer to be reading something that keeps me interested.

Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway

Sometimes love isn't something you say, it's something you do.

Just a short little review today. I tend to have a very love/hate relationship with contemporary books and lately it has been more on the hate side. With my recent run of contemporary books I went into this with fairly low expectations and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I mean towards the end I was even fighting back a few tears so it must've been alright. The story flowed very nicely and your heart went out to Oliver. To everyone else he'd been kidnapped but to him he'd just been living with his good ol Dad for the past 10 years.

I really enjoyed all of the characters and their relationships with each other. I felt that Emmy was a good leading lady and I quite liked her. This book had me giggling a few times with all the banter that went on between the 4 friends and you just found yourself wanting to be part of their group. It was interesting to see the issues that each character and family had to overcome not only with Oliver's disappearance but then with his return as well. I think that Robin Benway did a fantastic job with the mood balance. Yes, things were hard with Oliver returning but it was also interlaced with a lot of sweet and funny moments as well.

This was my first book by Robin Benway and she surprised me. I may pick up some more of her books in the future.

Panic by Lauren Oliver

Nobody believed that Panic would stop, of course. The game must go on. The game always went on.

Alrighty, where to start with this one. To be honest i'm not 100% sure how I felt about this book as my feelings changed continuously while I was reading it. There may be possible spoilers ahead so please be careful. I have tried to be vague but you've been warned just in case. I felt like Panic had a very good story line and it was written really well. I love stories that involve dangerous games and dares so I was really looking forward to reading this. For the most part the game was done really well. The challenges were scary and deadly enough and definitely had me questioning what I would've and wouldn't have done for that much money and it was a hell of a lot of money. I may be a big old wimp but the stuff they were doing was just crazy. I really don't think that I could've gone through with many of those challenges if any at all. My issue with the challenges was that it got to the point where the challenges were no longer affecting the competitors but innocent people who had no connection to the game at all. Those people did not deserve the stresses and heartache that was placed on them.

I found it very hard to believe that the judge who i'm going to call obvious judge because you saw it from the very start really would've spoken up right before the final challenge. If you were promised a large amount of money you don't just all of a sudden fess up. If you're going to lie to everyone and participate in that way you may as well see it through to the end so that you at least still get the money. The character's themselves were all okay but nothing too spectacular. I know Nat had something bad happen to her throughout the story but she still annoyed the crap out of me and I really didn't care for her as a character. Heather's reason for participating in Panic was stupid but the reason she kept going with Panic was understandable and you really wanted to see her get the money. The things that she was doing for herself and Lily were incredible but it does make you wonder how other's weren't picking up on their living situation. I understood where Dodge was coming from and really felt for him but at the same time he could be a bit of an ass.

I get that a lot of people would've liked the ending but I personally didn't care for it. I thought Lauren Oliver was going to take it in a direction that would've served them all right but she pulled it back at the very last minute. Dagnamit, I feel like if it had've ended the other way I would've pushed this rating to 4 stars cos it would've blown my mind.  I doubt other's would've felt the same way though. Panic was definitely better suited to me than what Delirium was and I do have another Lauren Oliver book on my TBR list so I will probably get around to that one soon.

The Parcel Marie Claire Summer Edition

Hi guys, today I have another unboxing for you. It's funny but I thought that I had cancelled my subscription to The Parcel so i'm not sure if this one had already been paid for and that's why it came or if I didn't actually cancel my subscription. Not a big deal either way cos this box is always well worth the money. I was just cancelling it to save some dollars. If you are looking for a good beauty subscription box then I definitely recommend The Parcel. It only comes every 3 months but there is always a great range of good quality products and you easily get your money's worth plus more. The parcel will cost you $25 every 3 months and as you're about to see this is an amazing price considering the products that you get.

Maybelline New York Colossal Pumped Up Volume Express Mascara: Gee, that's a mouthful and a half. Anybody who know's me know's that I love my mascara's and I don't think I have this one yet which is a little surprising. I can't wait to give this one a try. Retail price is $19.95

Paula's Choice Vitamin C Spot Treatment: I am a huge fan of Paula's Choice and if you have the money I definitely recommend buying their products. Everything that I have tried from the Paula's Choice range has been amazing, unfortunately it's just a little bit too expensive for me. We received a 5ml sample and retail price for 15ml is $70.00

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster: Look out guys we're getting a little fancy now. I use a lot of moisturisers and serums so I always love receiving these little samples especially because we all know i'm not going to fork out that much money for the actual product. I don't have any little samples on the go at the moment just full size products so I will definitely give this one a go tomorrow. We received a 5ml sample and retail price for 30ml is $85.00

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish: Apparently there were 14 different shades available to subscribers and I tell you what the subscription boxes have been nailing the colours lately. I got the shade Barracuda which is a light pastel blue coulour and is exactly the kind of colour that I would pick for myself. I have a lot of nail polishes. Nail polishes and mascaras are my weakness so I always get excited when one comes. Retail price is $14.95

Maybelline New York Colour Elixir: I thought this was a lipstick when I first picked it up but it's actually a gloss. I prefer glosses over lipstick anyway so this works perfectly for me. You could receive 1 of 2 different shades and I received Petal Plush. It's a very light pink colour and my only concern is that it might be too pink for me. I will give it a try though and see how it goes. I'm currently using a Revlon gloss which is just my everything at the moment. Retail Price is $17.95

Zoeva Luxe Crease Eye Brush: I don't really use brushes so I honestly couldn't tell you if this is good or not. The fact that it's available at Sephora would suggest that it's a good brush. I will just give this away to a friend. Retail price is $17.00

Michael Kors Gold Collection Fragrance: There were three different fragrances that you could've received any I got the Rose Radiant Gold. It has quite a strong scent so you wouldn't need to use too much of it. It's definitely a scent that I would wear but I don't think it's really an every day scent more a going out at night to fancy places scent. We received a 1.5ml sample and retail price for 50ml is $110.00

Swisse Deep Sea Hydrating Mist Toner: My face doesn't really agree with toner's I don't know why. It's just my stupid face being all stupid. I will give it a go anyway and if no good i'm sure there will be a few of the ladies at work that will be willing to take this little baby off my hands. We received a 15ml sample and retail price for 125ml is $9.99

2 x Lonvitalite Face Masks: We received the Coconut Milk Hydrating Face Mask and the Collagen Firming Face Mask. I have previously used both of these and I love them. I like using a good mask once every week to two weeks so I go through them very quickly and it can be expensive. I refuse to pay Lonvitalite prices but they show up so often in the subscription boxes that I don't really need to buy any. A pack of 5 retails for $39.00

Trilogy Make-up Be Gone Cleansing Balm: This is an interesting little product. I use either make-up removing wipes or micellar water each night to remove my make-up so i'm really interested to give this a go and see how it compares. To be honest it probably isn't something that I would buy based on the price alone because my current products work okay and are much, much cheaper. We received a 10ml sample and retail price for 80ml is $36.90

OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo and Conditioner: I was so excited when I saw these in the box. I see these in the shops all the time and love their cute packaging. I have very finicky hair so generally just stick to my Schwarzkopf as that's what seems to work best. Can't wait to give this a go though and see if it's as amazing as i've always hoped it would be. We received 2 x 60ml samples and retail price for 385ml is $17.99 each.

Well that's everything that I received in my box and for $25 how can you not be impressed. There is always something in the box for everyone and if there is something that you don't like or use it's never hard to find someone who does want it. The best thing about this box is that the products are always higher end products so you feel pampered and fancy even if it is only temporarily. I will need to look into whether or not I cancelled this box and if I haven't I may decide to keep getting it anyways. You can't really lose when it's only $25 per box. As a side note my apologies for the quality of the photos. As a lot of you know the office recently underwent a complete renovation so i'm still trying to find a good spot to take all the photos cos you know these things need to be done at work and not when you're at home. Bye for now my lovelies.

Camirelli Crate - December Christmas Crate Unboxing

Last week there was a train derailing so all parcels coming from over east were delayed. I get that these things can't be helped but i'm so impatient haha. The good news though is that I will have lots of parcels coming this week. There was already a few of them when I went over to the post office this morning so expect a few unboxings this week. I decided to start with my favourite box though and that is my Camirelli Crate. I love using Camirelli products and I now only use Camirelli soaps, candles and melts. I'm sure that poor Dusk is really missing all my dollars now. I stupidly only bought one christmas crate with the intention of adding most of it to other people's presents. I'm now wishing that I had've bought two. One for me and one for everyone else.

Camirelli offers a few different crates each month and it isn't a continuous subscription so you need to remember to order each month. Previously I've bought the full size crates, melts crates and the soap crates and I've never been disappointed. January's full crate will cost you $40 and this will get you 4 full size products and 6 sample sized products but the samples are usually pretty generous. January's theme is wonderland so i'm really excited to see what will come but for now let's take a look at what I received in my December Christmas Crate:

Small Champagne and Pomegranate Apothecary Candle: Sadly I will not be burning this little baby because I was giving it away as a christmas present. I almost want to cry at the thought of me not using this. The candles always come in the cutest jars and the scents fill your house so quickly. This candle smells amazing and doesn't smell like anything that i've ever used before. I wish I could've kept this for myself. Retail price is $12.

Mistletoe and Ivy Artisan Soap: I just love the beautiful colours and patterns that are through this soap. Sadly this was the other product that I tagged for someone else and again i'm devastated. I wish you could see me sitting here at work trying to smell through the plastic. Luckily I don't work with many people and the one's that are here are aware of how weird I am already. This has a very soft and beautiful natural scent. Retail price is $6.

Frankincense and Myrrh Artisan Soap: I was actually able to pop open the plastic on this one and I wish I could send scents over the internet because this smells amazing. I'm nearly through my apple pie soap at the moment so I should be able to start using this baby tomorrow. These soaps honestly make the whole bathroom smell amazing after you shower so that's an added bonus. Retail price is $6.

Caribbean Coffee Scrub: I admit i'm not a huge fan of coffee scrubs because they generally make such a darn mess in the shower. They are really good for your skin though so I usually get a few uses out of them. This will be my first Camirelli Coffee Scrub so i'm interested to see how it goes and how it compares to other's that i've tried. It smells a bit nicer than the other coffee scrubs that i've tried. Retail price is $18.95.

Mini Layered Mousse in Citrus Burst: I almost don't want to use this because it looks so pretty. I was a bit worried when it said citrus burst because citrus can be very hit and miss with me. It smells like candy though so all good. I am definitely using this tonight. Retail price is $4.50.

Chocolate Lip Scrub Sample: This will be the first time that I get to try a Camirelli Lip Scrub so that's exciting. I've heard really good things about it and the chocolate smell is simply amazing. I've been eating a bit healthier lately cos you know once Christmas hits it will be nonstop junk food and this chocolate smell is making me so hungry. Retail price is $4.

Mrs Claus Scented Tea Light Candle: Whenever I get a tea light candle I always give it to my mum as a small treat I don't know why it's just something I do. I opened this up to have a smell and now it's bothering me because I can't quite put my finger on what the scent is. I think it smells like the cotton candy ice-cream that you buy but i'm not 100% sure.

3 x Melts in Pomegranate, Reindeer Poo and Island Christmas Getaway: I admit I had a good laugh when I saw the reindeer poo melt pot and to be honest when I opened it the smell reminded me of my toilet cleaner so that had me laughing even more. I was happy to see the Pomegranate melt and I don't feel so bad about giving away my candle now that I have a melt. To me the Island Christmas Getaway has like a pepperminty candy cane smell so I can't wait to burn that one. Pretty happy with all 3 of these. Retail price is $6

Ocean Salt Scrub: I love salt scrubs and much prefer them over coffee scrubs so I was really happy to see this. It is driving me crazy trying to work out the scent of it. It says on the tube that it has grapeseed and avocado oil in it so I'm not sure if that's what i'm picking up on. It's a nostalgic scent that is going to drive me nuts but I love it whatever it is. Dad reckons it smells like sherbet so maybe that's it. Retail price is $4

I can not begin to explain how happy I was with this box. I've never been disappointed with a Camirelli Crate yet and they continuously bring out amazing products with amazing scents. This box does cost more than some of the other subscription boxes out there but it is worth every dollar plus more. I don't think there has ever been a time where I've not been able to use one of the products and the quality is unlike any others that i've tried. Make sure you give the Camirelli Crate a try. I was hesitant at first but I always make sure my order is in for the next month plus i've started buying extra products on top of the monthly crate.

Wicked Games by Sean Olin

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, things just don't work out.

I absolutely breezed through this book. I read it in two sittings and would've read it in one if it wasn't for the fact that it got way too late and I had to be up early this morning. This book was amazing and was exactly what i'd been looking for. Lilah was one hell of a crazy bitch and I loved every single minute of it. She had me both terrified and creeped out and the stuff wasn't even happening to me. I like that Lilah's level of craziness slowly escalated and that she wasn't just normal one minute and then completely crazy the next. It had a build up to it which made it more believable and all the more scarier. Carter found himself in a very tough position especially at the start. I didn't really have any strong feelings about him either way until I got to the epilogue and then I was just thinking man shit's about to get real.

This story does revolve around cheating so if you struggle with that then this book might not be for you. While reading the cheating parts I definitely felt sorry for Lilah especially at the party but than when she started playing her games you felt less sorry for her. I also felt sorry for Jules she did not deserve the stuff that was happening to her. Yes she made a mistake but the things that Lilah did to her were just extreme. Also you can't really judge the situation until you have been in it yourself. There is nothing worst than when you find someone that you're really interested in but are still trapped in a relationship with someone else who is making it impossible for you to let go. I'm not supporting what Jules and Carter did i'm just saying the inner turmoil that Carter had going on was definitely real.

This book has so many low ratings and I just don't get it. I loved everything about this book. The story was good, there was crazy on top of crazy, the characters were solid and the writing flowed wonderfully. After reading that epilogue I went and bought Reckless Hearts straight away because I simply need more. I'm a crazy person that needs a certain amount of crazy in her life and this book gelled with me perfectly. I don't know who this Sean Olin is but he is definitely on my radar now.

Alive by Scott Sigler

Choices have consequences.

When I read the blurb for this book I knew that I wanted it and it made it's way to the top of my wishlist. I am now regretting that decision. This book was not what I was expecting at all but to be fair that probably wasn't the book's fault. I was expecting a horror Saw type scenario but what I failed to see on Goodreads was the Fantasy tag under genre. I think the story was dragged out to be a lot longer than it needed to be and to be honest a lot of the middle could've been removed. I won't go into detail about what's really going on in Alive as I don't want to spoil it for anyone but the big reveal is just one great big WTF moment. The writing was not quite to my taste either and was very repetitive which didn't help

I never quite knew how I felt about Em as a leading lady. It's not that I didn't like her but at the same time I wasn't that excited about her either. The character that I did like the most was Bishop and I felt that a lot more could've been done with him. There was the beginnings of a love triangle in Alive but it was never fully explored and for the most part felt like it was just chucked in awkwardly. I personally would've loved to have seen something more happen between Em and Bishop. Bugger O'Malley he was a little too soft for my liking. I found the parts with the pigs quite hard to read but soldiered through it. There is a wide cast of character's in this story but for the most part you are able to keep track of who everyone is and what they're up to.

I don't want to be rude but this book did put me to sleep a number of times. I have been tired lately but still it shouldn't have taken me that long to get through the book. I nearly gave up on it a couple of times but kept at it because I wanted to see what the hell was going on. Well I found out and to be honest I just wasn't all that impressed. Alive is the first book in the generations trilogy but I won't be picking up the next book.

The Vegan Box - Summer Edition Unboxing

I realise it has been a while since i've done an unboxing on here. I've still been getting all my boxes. I just got lazy and stopped doing posts on them. I'm trying to be a little more organised so hopefully you will be seeing more unboxing posts in the next couple of months. A lot of the subscription boxes are taking a break over Christmas which is a little sad but completely understandable. Today I bring you The Summer Vegan Beauty Box. The Vegan Beauty Box is posted out every two months and for $49.95 you will receive 5 to 8 natural beauty products that are chemical free and free of all kinds of nasties. This is my second or third box i'm not 100% sure but I have loved the boxes and for the most part have been able to use just about all the products. I have definitely found some new favourites while receiving this box. Let's go ahead and take a look at what I received in the Summer Box:

Sambora Beach Toes Nail Polish - I was so shocked when I opened the box and saw this on top as a co-worker and myself were discussing nail polishes the day before. I told her to try the I Scream Nails (amazing brand and quality) and she was telling me to try the Beach Toes nail polishes. I was debating popping down to the surf shop to pick up a Beach Toes nail polish but it's a good thing I didn't cos now I have one to try. The colour is perfect for me and is actually a very similar colour to what I already have on my toes. Recommended Retail Price is $18.95.

Sugar Venom Premium Faux Eyelashes - I am not someone that uses fake eyelashes. I'm a mascara addict so I don't see the point in buying fake eyelashes when I have a million and one mascara's laying around. I must say looking at these eyelashes compared to others that I have seen these one's look absolutely amazing. I'm chucking this into my sisters Christmas present because I know that she will love these. Recommended Retail Price is $12.95.

The Little Alchemist Wild Apple and Mint Balancing Mist - I love mist sprays and have them all around the house, in bags and at work. The apple and mint scent definitely had me intrigued and when you first spray it there is a very strong mint scent but it soon evens out to a really beautiful and natural smell. I've chucked this on my desk at work to use. Initial use would suggest that it might be something that I would repurchase. Recommended Retail Price is $16.00.

Flora Remedies Transformative Scents - I like having roll on scents in my bag because they are generally less potent then perfumes and body sprays so they're better suited to crowded offices and rooms. I received the immunity infusion which is meant to balance out any mind problems that you may have throughout the day. I did not like the smell of this at all. I put it on my wrists and I reckon it smelt like i'd rubbed some herbs all over my arms. Not my kind of thing at all. Recommended Retail Price is $24.95

Ethique Bombshell Self Tanner - So you just knew as soon as you saw the word tanner that there was going to be a mini rant coming. I get that it is summer over here but I seriously don't know of anyone who uses tanning products. Just about every subscription box that I have received in the last 2 months has contained a tanning product and it need's to stop. If anything me and my friends have the opposite problem in Summer where we tan far too easily!! There is certainly no need to add tan to my body. This is just a wasted product for me like all the other tanning products in all the other subscription boxes. We received a sample only. Recommended Retail Price is $10.00

Happy Eyes Antiwrinkle Eye Patches - I love receiving face and eye masks especially the under eye patches. I will definitely be giving this a go on the weekend and if it works well I will definitely look at repurchasing as I'm nearing the end of all my mask samples and the lonvitalite eye masks are soooooooo expensive. Recommended Retail Price is $2.95

This box was really 50/50 for me. There are two products that will be binned instantly and that is the Flora Remedies Scent cos it smells like complete crap and the tanning product because nobody uses tanning products. The eyelashes were no good to me but I know that my sister will love them so she win's out with that one. The remaining three products though are definitely big winners and are products that I would certainly look at repurchasing if i'm happy with the results. I still can't believe that the nail polish came a day after me and my work colleague were talking about it and in a colour that I use all the time as well. I love receiving this box because it is so hard to find good natural beauty products and this way you get to try out products that you otherwise wouldn't know about. Bye for now guys!

Killing Floor by Lee Child

I was under arrest. In a town where i'd never been before. Apparently for murder. But I knew two things. First, they couldn't prove something had happened if it hadn't happened. And second, I hadn't killed anybody. Not in their town, and not for a long time, anyway.

Well that was one hell of an action packed story! This book has received a lot of mixed reviews and I must say that having finally finished the book I'm left with somewhat mixed feelings about it. Let's start with the size of this book. It was 525 freaking pages which I knew from the start would probably be a problem for me. I tend to get bored when reading massive books and although the action in this kept you interested you were continuously checking to see how much was left. I feel like there was quite a few scenes that could've been cut out to bring the size right down and a lot of unnecessary descriptions could've been left out. We all want the good guy to come out on top but the ease with which Jack took out the bad guys continuously was a little over the top. It did sometimes feel like a cheesy Arnie action movie just in book form. The writing at times could also be a bit stunted especially when there was dialogue between two characters. It became a lot of I said, she said, I said, she said etc.

I had one mole figured out and the big baddie I had narrowed down between 2 so it wasn't a huge surprise for me when that was announced but I still enjoyed the unveiling. I really liked Jack as a character. For me Jack was the best part of the story. I enjoyed his military smarts and the way that he went about taking down the baddies. I really enjoyed the parts where he was in prison and did get the odd giggle out of the story. Although we did see a slightly softer side to Jack he is pretty much just one hell of a bad ass character. The supporting characters were all pretty good for the most part as well. Looking back I can't really think of anyone that I didn't enjoy reading about.

At the end of the day I did enjoy this story and if it had've been condensed down by say 100 pages I think I would've enjoyed it a hell of a lot more. A lot of the middle stuff looking back was just page filler and the ending all came about really quickly and abruptly. I'm torn because a lot of people that I trust in reading terms strongly recommend this series but I'm not 100% convinced that I want to continue on with it. At this stage I think I will put this series to the side and I may come back to it a later date.

Coming Back by Emma South

I'm Christie fucking Jayne, and you can't kill me.

If there is one thing that you have to give to Christie it was that she was incredibly brave. The sheer determination that she had to get out of that forest alive was incredible. I thought she was a pretty good character and it was good to see her progression from the time that she returned to her family to the end of the story. Dean was an amazing leading man and I simply loved him. Who doesn't love a man in uniform who has an amazing relationship with his dog. I mean cmon now sign me up for one of those!

I really liked the concept of this story. Usually books end once the person is returned to their family and you don't get to know how they deal with being back in the real world. With Coming Back you got to see not only Christie's struggles to return to her normal life but also her parents and her sister's struggles. I don't think we got anywhere near enough of Christie's story from when she was kidnapped. I mean she was gone for nearly 2 years and all we got on the matter was a few chapters. I thought the story would've been a lot more powerful if there had of been more chapters from that time of her life.

I actually felt a bit silly part way through this book cos when they mentioned Harper Bayliss I was sitting there thinking why the hell do I know that name. Then, when they were saying how Nick and Harper got together it clicked for me that they were talking about the two leading characters from The Last Thing You See. I did enjoy this book but for the most part it was just another average book. It was my second Emma South book and I guess my feelings of both books have been the same. I may pick up more of her books in the future. I guess we will just wait and see.

December TBR Pile

Looking back, November was a really slow reading month for me which was a little disappointing but hey that's what happens when life get's in the way. Reading wise it was a very mixed month for me but the standout book was definitely Lost Girls by Angela Marsons. I've still got a book hangover from Lost Girls and I finished it days ago. I've been able to get quite a bit of reading done in the last week and I know that trend will continue through to December and January because work is always quiet over these months.

Going in to the new year i've decided to mix up my TBR picks and the way that I pick the books. Who are we kidding I just got lazy so I've decided there are no set rules for the TBR picks each month they will just be randomised picks. Crazy I know!! If I want a change I might look at doing some challenges throughout next year but for now it's simply random choices for the win! Here is what I will definitely be reading in December:

  • Wicked Games by Sean Olin. I love the sounds of this book. I mean who doesn't like a crazy chick on the warpath. They reckon that this book is for fans of Sara Shepard and I loved the Pretty Little Liars books before the number of them grew out of control so hopefully with that comparison made Wicked Games will be right up my alley.
  • Panic by Lauren Oliver. I have to admit I was 50/50 about whether or not to read this one as I read Delirium ages ago and I wasn't a huge fan of it. I'm a sucker for books that involve dangerous games though so I figured I would give this one a go. I have a different Lauren Oliver book on my TBR list as well so Panic will decide whether that other book stays on my TBR list as well or if it will be removed.
  • The Lie by C.L. Taylor. This is another book that I was really 50/50 about and I think I changed my mind a few times within a matter of minutes. I'm not gonna lie I struggle with big books and this is 461 pages which to me is a big book. In the end though I decided that I really, really wanted to know what happened to Jane and her friends.
  • Killing Floor by Lee Child. I don't know what I'm doing to myself this month but this is another big book coming in at a whopping 524 pages! Seriously everyone has been telling me about the Jack Reacher series and how much I really should read it so here goes everyone. You win and I am finally getting around to this series.
  • Alive by Scott Sigler. I have been meaning to buy this book for ages now and just kept forgetting about it. I remember the first time I saw it and read the synopsis I was sold on it and was dying to get my hands on it. This is easily the book that I am most looking forward to reading in December eeep!
  • Emmy and Oliver by Robin Benway. We are at the end of my planned reading list guys and we are ending it with another book which I was 50/50 about. I have been struggling with Contemporary and Young Adult books lately but I have heard some really amazing things about this book so I will give it a go and you can expect to see the review towards the end of December.

That's it guys and I must say I am super excited to get started on this list. Let me know what you are planning on reading and if you have any book recommendations please send them my way.
